Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night sees the player fighting against hordes of Aztec Zombies, and the clock, to save reality from Darkness. Lords of the Night introduces an upgraded combat system, new weapons, powers, equipment and unique mini bosses that require careful tactics to defeat. It adds three new zones to fight through, an even tougher confrontation with the enigmatic Darkness and plenty of new opportunities to die!
Its the year 2035 and the crazed followers of a near-forgotten God have opened a hole into a nightmare dimension. Through this portal bizarre and dangerous creatures are flooding into our world, intent on total destruction! There remains just single hope: a shadowy ex-special forces soldier, enhanced for combat and known only as Chainsaw Warrior. He saved New York in 2032 – can he now save the world? Ive played maybe 10 games on IPhone 6 and IPad Mini first gen. 8 of those games had to be stopped because of a total game stopping bug. Not crash, but the game completely freezes and will not proceed. Only work around is to exit the game and load which is awful if you dont save all the time. Game utterly needs an auto save every turn. Also it is ridiculous for a game in 2015 not to have auto save on exit. I do not want to have to load from an old save if somebody phones me while Im playing. These are basic and unacceptable issues that require the game to be pulled from the store until sorted.
The game freezes during the help overlays. How does this get past testers?
I love this series, and after playing the first game so much on Steam I was eager to get this one. Unfortunately, its too broken to play. The text is tiny, you need to strain your eyes to read anything. Worse, the help overlays often dont register button presses, Ive been stuck unable to complete the second half of the game because I simply cant hit "Okay". If any of this is fixed, Id love to give the game more stars, but being unable to even play it means so far a waste of time and money.
The developer fixed the bugs relatively quickly and now it plays great. A little in app would make this better. There is no clue how to unlock any of the locked upgrades.
Soundtrack plays, but screen goes black and stays black indefinitely after clicking "Start." No improvement after restarting iPhone 5s.
